Sylvain Heraud (né en 1985 à Cannes) est un photographe éditorial français dont le travail explore les relations entre les personnes, les lieux et l’architecture.
Animé par une passion pour le voyage, il a parcouru l’Europe, les Amériques et l’Asie, où il développe des projets photographiques au long cours en parallèle de commandes pour des publications internationales.
Son travail s’intéresse à l’architecture, au patrimoine et à la culture contemporaine, mêlant photographie documentaire et narration visuelle. Qu’il photographie l’univers artistique d’Anselm Kiefer, la tour LUMA de Frank Gehry ou les paysages de l’ex-Yougoslavie, il est attiré par les lieux façonnés par l’histoire et les personnes qui leur donnent vie.
Ses projets personnels puisent souvent leur inspiration dans la littérature, utilisant la photographie pour explorer le dialogue entre lieux réels et récits imaginaires.
Ses photographies ont été publiées dans Smithsonian Magazine, National Geographic Travel, LensCulture et Profession Photographe, et ont été exposées à l’international.
